This song makes me wanna dance. Picture me, underwear on with a wooden spoon dancing around the kitchen while cleaning dishes - that was me last night. 


I love how they say "birthday dress" instead of "birthday suit". Never thought of it that way? Will now!

The Fish Dress

Raleigh was a blast! (Should I expect anything else?) Coop got this super cute fish dress that I think is darlin'. Figured I'd share.

I also have some pretty banging hair in this picture, my secret is that I actually brushed it right before this picture. 

That cute girl in the middle is Jenn, we were the three musketeers that night with a bunch of guys that were trying to convince us to go to the strip club. That didn't happen.

I'd put up a picture of phil and I, but we made sure to take some super awkward pictures because that's what happens when we drink.

I did wake up to this the next morning:

"And I'm hopin' for Raleigh.."

In just a few short hours, I will be on an interstate journey - joy! I-85 is the worst. Seriously, just build a couple more lanes around Concord and we won't have a problem anymore!!

We'll be taking an alternate route through the hometown to drop off the pups at "grandmas". Since both Phil and I grew up in the same neighborhood, we are fortunate enough that both of our parents still live there, so it's super easy to drop the pups off at either/or. We'll possibly stay the night since driving 4 1/2 hours isn't our forte, and then take that extra hour or so to Raleigh the next morning.

Today is a great day in my office for it is "BTs" last day. I'd love to explain who BT is, but I don't really feel like wasting my breath on him. Let's just say he is a poor young lost soul. He has been the biggest pain in my butt since he started in April and I'm so glad he's leaving (Isn't that terrible??). Obvs, it isn't going to sunshine at the office everyday, but MUCH better.

Habits

Nobody said that it was easy to switch to healthy foods. I find myself craving cheese fries in the middle of the day, and all I can do is stuff my face with greek yogurt.

It's not a habit yet, but once it is - it will be SO much easier. I can do this, I can do this. They say 21 - 30 days makes a habit. So, this may be the hardest thing I've yet to do. Which means this weekend when I go out of town, I can't just stuff my face with lots of greasy nastiness (I will make an exception for hangovers), I have to say, "No thanks, I'll order a salad."

Once I make this a habit, I feel that having a "cheat" day will be okay. I don't think a cheat day is appropriate while forming a habit.

Am I wrong?

Weekend Plans

So, this weekend I am planning to head to good ol' Raleigh, NC. I am SUPER stoked since Phil and I haven't been in forever. He went to college at NC State, so this is his old stomping grounds, anddd half of our graduating class from high school went there, so Raleigh was always a fun place for me to go visit.

It's also one of our closest friend Matt's birthday, (which I may have mentioned before) he also grew up in the same neighborhood as Phil and I, so we've all had some pretty fun (and interesting) memories growing up. 

I also get to see my Coop-a-loop (which is never a good thing when we get together!)

This should be a pretty fun weekend :) Wish it were Friday and NOT Wednesday!!

New Start!

I put myself on a constant workout and a new eating plan. I've been pretty impressed with my last 24 hours until I woke up this morning 30 minutes before i'm suppose to be at work (and I work 15 minutes away). I didn't really have a choice but to stop and grab breakfast, and I could have grabbed something a bit healthier than I did but WHATEVER. GAH.

Today is the beginning of the rest of my life, right? Anyways, it's not exactly a work out plan, more of a "I want to become a runner" plan.

Phil and I will also be joining a gym this week since ours decided to up and close one day. We've been weary of signing another year contract since we just got screwed out of ours, but it doesn't look like we really have a choice. So, we've been visiting and asking tons of questions and really trying to get a feel of all the gyms around us.

This past weekend I went to Charlotte to visit my friend Maggie. She's a big girl and just bought her first condo, so she wanted to show it off. It's super close to downtown and it's absolutely adorable! It is within walking distance to a handful of bars andddd a nice little strip club! (HA!) We made it to the bars, but decided to skip out on the strip club. I would have pictures if I knew where my camera was. Maybe Maggie will be a doll and put up the pictures she took

I've decided I am going to look into buying a new one. I've been searching for that dang thing for 4 months and I seriously can't find it ANY-WHERE! I'd like to get a nice Nikon, but we shall see. Phil says I don't need a big fancy camera, but it's not "our" money until April of next year, so it's still MY money. Looks like he doesn't really have a say until then. :)

9 months

Nope, not having a baby - that's how many months I have left until I become Mrs. Mead. (Mrs. Mead, sounds weird? AH!)

I'd put a timeline of all the things I have left to do but then you'd never find an ending. Who would have thought it would take this much time and effort to plan the perfect wedding/party?

I can honestly just say that I am more excited than anything to marry the man of my dreams. He is the most caring, giving, sweet, loving, affectionate, funny, amazing person I've ever been around . He's such a hard worker and he puts 100% into everything he does whether it's relationships, work, yardwork, Zepp, friends - you name it - he's going to put himself into it. He tries to make me a better person every day but he also loves my silly quirks to death. Our story isn't exactly tradition, but I've never felt more right about anything in my life. (I'm usually fairly skeptical of decisions I make)

I'd marry him tomorrow if our family wasn't persistent on a "traditional" wedding.

I LOVE YOU PHILIP MICHAEL. We aren't perfect, but we're totally perfect for each other.

I can't even go on about my obsession with Kate Middleton - and then she pulls out this Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen lavender dress at the BAFTA on Saturday evening. Yep, same chick who designed her wedding dress.

Case of the Mondays

I always try to wake up a little brighter on Mondays, since it is the first of the week and I always dread it.

This weekend was very not very exciting and I felt like a lazy bum since I slept over 9 hours each morning. Saturday was full of cleaning and we did take time out of the day to go see "Horrible Bosses". It was pretty funny, but there is one part of the movie that I literally thought I was going to die of laughter. I was crying so hard. I'm not sure I've ever laughed that hard during a movie. The rest of the movie gave me chuckles here and there, so overall it was a pretty decent movie. I ADORED the fact that Jennifer Aniston decided to step out of her comfort zone and play a foul-mouthed dirty girl. She's always the sweet bubbly character and I know that has to be annoying at times.

I've never in my life seen a movie where I thought Colin Ferrell was not attractive - Seriously ladies, this man is HOT with a capital H!!

BUT in this movie - he's not very cute and his character makes you just want to PUNCH him - which I kind of loved. I love when super hot movie stars will bring themselves to play a character that makes them super unattractive. You could tell that they had so much fun filming this movie and they all had a blast playing their characters.

New Obsession

If you know me, you know I L-O-V-E celebrities. I especially love adorable celebrities that make me want to steal them in the middle of the night and make them become my permanent bff - even if they are like 8 years younger than I am.

My current celebrity adoration is this little cutie - Selena Gomez.

You are the cutest thing ever Selena! I may come and snatch you and little Biebs out from under the night - I'm sure my nephew would LOVE that.

Vacay

I did have a mini - vacay this week and it was marvelous. Instead of spending all of our money at the beach - we decided to just head back to the homeland.

My parents have a pool so I spent a large amount of the weekend laying in a big float and getting wrinkled. I do the whole "lazy" thing really well.

We went to see the band that is playing at my wedding reception on Saturday! Let's just say that they are going to be AMAZING and SO MUCH FUN. It makes me so excited, I can't wait to see everyone shaking their little tooshies off!

At least I only have a 3 day week! Friday will be here before ya know it!!
