It's been a while...

It's literally been over 6 months since I last posted. A lot has changed in those 6 months, A LOT! I look forward to sharing with you some of the new things that are happening in the life of the Meads, but not today!

I can't write a whole novel the first day I come back. I just need to ease back in...

So, it's been a while.

I guess it really has been since January that I posted a blog post last. To say things have been crazy is quite the understatement. Life has been really good. I haven't for a second regretted the whole "moving home" ordeal. I have loved every minute I get to spend with my family. I no longer have to long to sit down and have a glass of wine with my sister and chat. I no longer feel like I am missing out on every sport event the kids have. I love being able to hug my dad more than once a month. I love having lunch dates with Mom and even dinner dates now!

Phil and I have been loving our house. It is quite the chore to get it the way we want it and we are haven't even made a dent in the renovations that will be coming soon.

My new job (I guess it isn't so new anymore) is still wonderful. I enjoy my co-workers and I love going to work. Of course, like any job, some days are more trying than others, but I've learned to push forward and to not be so shy.

I turned 26 last month. I can't believe I'm so "old" now. I wonder what my 16 year old self would say if she where I was today? Oh yeah, Phil turned 26 too in February. Of course, I take my camera to his birthday but not my own. Oh well.

Laura came down on my birthday to visit for the weekend. We also had a "favorite things" party which was a COMPLETE blast.

My sister turned 34... I didn't get any pictures at her birthday but here is one of myself, my sister and mom and our favorite things party. She looks WAY younger, like 28. :)

And of course last but not least, my sweet sweet Zeppelin turned 5 today. He was both mine and Phil's first dog on our own. I mean, we were 21 when we got him. Looking back, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I learned more than I could ever imagine from that dog. He taught me to grow up, and he taught me what it was like to actually care for something. I hope he is around for as many years as we can get it, but the first 5 have been awesome

We love ya buddy!

My life in holiday pictures

It's been almost 3 months since my last post! The holidays have seriously done a number on me. I can't exactly explain 3 months of my life in a post, I'd have to write a novel. I'll show you in pictures instead.

Basically it's halloween, thanksgiving and christmas all in these pictures. Plus going to see Leo perform, my new kitty nephew Ralphie, Tess' christmas play, my sweet pups and Lar Lar's visit!

Wheeeww...hopefully I won't go that long again.
