New Cord.. whoohoo

My chord finally decided to show up today, so here I am posting on my computer. You don't realize how easy and accessible typing is until you are forced to press your Ipad buttons for 10 days. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being a brat that I had an Ipad for backup - I just missed my computer.

Allman is growing steadily, she went on her first swim yesterday.

She's even cute when she's soak and wet!! :)

Last weekend was Phil and myselfs 5 year "dating" anniversary. I came home to this...

He had candles lit and a bottle of wine for us before we went out to dinner. He's precious. We didn't do anything big or give any gifts because we don't really have time to go shopping or really have all that much money with a wedding on the way.

The next day we celebrated dads 55th birthday in Asheville. I didn't get a whole lot of pictures, but I did get a picture of the kiddos being silly in downtown Asheville.

We had so much fun, and dad really enjoyed being around all the amazing company.

This past weekend was filled with both Phil and I being sick, andddd wedding planning. We finally ordered the invitations, picked out the flowers, and the napkins and table clothes. I can't even begin to tell you what the next 70 days have in store for me, but it's going to be a whirlwind.

This weekend I go to finally try MY dress on. It came in a few weeks ago. I'm actually really excited about this. The whole wedding planning extravaganza is not my forte, but picking out my dress is up there on one of my favorite parts! We are also going to get my niece (flower girl) her dress.

Here are a few more pictures of Allman and Zepp - like I don't post enough of these...

^^(This is seriously how she sleeps??)
(Besties, kind of..)

Sometimes they aren't so sweet

Well, my "sweet" little Allman chewed my power cord to my computer. So, until I have enough time to go get a new one, I won't exactly be blogging as it takes WAY too much time from my Ipad, and let's face it - with a wedding in less than 3 months - time is of the essence.

Eventually, I'll go get one. When I decide to get off my lazy bum and go to the dreaded mall where the apple store is - or i may just order one online.

Sweet Allman

We got Allman on Saturday, and boy has she been a lot of fun ... and A LOT of work. My dad leases a piece of land down by a river and we all traveled there on Saturday for a cookout. Right before we got there, my brother in law got into a four wheeling accident, luckily he was okay, but it scared the daylights out of us.

The rest of us decided to stay while he got checked out at the hospital. My nephew and niece (his son and daughter) were super worried about him, but Allman distracted them, and they distracted Allman.

She played and played until she couldn't play anymore. Then we all went back to Bebe and Paw-Paws and had a slumber party. I mean we literally all slept in a big king size bed. It was Me, two kids, a large lab (zepp), the sweet pup (allman) and my mom and dads old kitty (pudge). I'm not sure how we all managed to sleep, but the kids loved having Allman sleep with them.

Allman did a whole lot of sleeping on the ride home... example...

She has been an absolute JOY. Even though Zepp tries to act like he is annoyed with her (which he is at times), he really does enjoy having her. I watched them play tug-o-war tonight, it was adorable.

Here are a few more baby Allman pictures:

Hopefully, in a few days I will update on how the wedding planning is going!

Christmas Photos

So, I didn't get to put up any photos of Christmas, but we had a super fantastic Christmas and I'm going to do a littly blog about it

As I have mentioned before I surprised Phil with a pup. The weekend before we came home for christmas, I went "Christmas shopping" with Rhi back in our hometown - instead of actually "christmas shopping" we drove almost 2 hours into the middle of NOWHERE to go look and give the money for our new chocolate lab baby girl. I had two weeks I had to keep this bad boy a secret.
Let me tell you something, I'm AWFUL with surprises. There were so many times I would think about getting our new pup and I would smile so wide, and Phil would ask me why I was so happy! I told EVERYONE about our new pup, and EVERYONE new except for him. Even the night before I gave him the news, we went out with some friends and everyone was asking and whispering about the pup behind his back!
He opened the gift the next day and I've never seen him so speechless. He carried her pictures around with him for days showing everyone his new fur baby. He was so thrilled.

He has yet to meet her, so he isn't as excited as I am - but once we go pick her up I know he will be so excited.

Now for what Santa brought.
Mom and Dad got my sister and I an Ipad for christmas - which was TOTALLY unexpected. Honestly, I didn't really think I needed one. Well, I use that bad boy every day now. I love my Iphone and Macbook, but the Ipad is great for reading books on. Which I use for it's main purpose.
I got lots of cute clothes and new Chanel makeup. I got a new tote and an awesome blanket.  I finally got a brown peacoat, and mom found a super cute one!

Phil got me a really nice backpack for hiking. I told him I needed one since I feel like such a lazy bum when he's caring around all our junk in his bag and all I got is.. well, nothing. I don't even carry the water! It's no where near as big as his, but we don't go that far or that long. Plus, with two pups now (!!!:):)!!!) We will both definately need a backpack.

Here are a couple of pictures of The Henderson Christmas and a few of Gums and Tess opening there gifts. (I forgot to take pictures at The Souweine Christmas!)

That last picture is a picture of my cousins sweet little girl Leighton, she loves the show Max and Ruby so much she was giving it a kiss. How cute!

Here are a few of Gums and Tess opening their gifts from Bebe and Pawpaw.

(Yes, Gums is already wearing my jacket I bought him from The North Face - he was SUPER excited!)

Here are a few gifts of Tess and I using her easy bake oven I got her.. (She loved it!!)

New Year

Phil and I spent a New Years alone together, which normally doesn't happen. We usually travel to go see friends and sleep wherever we can find a place to crash rest our heads . We went to see a band called The Avett Brothers

They are really popular here in the Carolinas as they are from Concord, North Carolina. They are a "newgrass" band, so that means lots of banjos! yeeeeeh! We stood in the "General Admissions" section, which basically made me feel like I was in high school again because you had to stand the entire time.
I drank way too many Anheuser-Busch products, which I can't stand. I wasn't about to walk a mile to go find a more 'expensive' beer, so I just paid the RIDICULOUS 8 dollars for a 24 ounce of awfulness. I can't even imagine what the Heineken's cost.
The best part was when the clock struck 12 and the balloons fell from the sky and they played my favorite song, I and Love and You. It was wonderful.
Here is a picture I took from the top of the stairs as we were leaving .... cool huh?

We have been trying to keep things quiet for the past two weeks as our lives are about to be tossed around with a new pup. We can't wait to go get her on Saturday! I figured if we can raise such an amazing dog at 21 in the middle of college, we should be able to handle a pup around 25 with a set schedule, RIGHT?! Hopefully. I do know one thing, two dogs will be a handful - but we are TOTALLY ready and I can't wait to get her here.
