Wolfpack Football

This Saturday begins COLLEGE FOOTBALL. I'm a HUGE N.C.State Wolfpack fan and I always have been.

Phil and I are SO excited to go cheer on the Wolfpack this upcoming Saturday. We don't live very close, so when we get the opportunity to see a game, we'll take it! Now, what should I wear?

P.S. I FOUND MY CAMERA! AH! But of course, my charger is now missing. C'est la vie.

New

I've had a blackberry for a while, but I'm such a Mac person and I've been dyyyying to get the Iphone forever. 


Welp, I finally got mine on Thursday and I'm totally stoked about it. It's been amazing so far. I don't even have the need to get a camera since this bad boy hooks up to my Macbook wonderfully!


As I've said before, Phil and I have been doing the workout Insanity since Tuesday and I've already lost 4lbs. I'm pretty impressed with the results. Yesterday, Phil and I went on a 5.2 mile hike to a beautiful waterfall.

Totally worth the hike UPHILL which I was not prepared for and almost had to turn around because my legs felt like jello.

Excuse my paleness, but Phil is handsome :)

 and of course little man got to do A TON of swimming

Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday. I'm trying to recover from all the exercise  I've been doing. It's all hit me today, so i'll be cleaning, couching it and drinking lots of water!






Oh. P.S. We should be getting our engagement photos in the mail anyyyday! :)

Insanity is no joke

The insanity work out is no joke - just finished the first day (which is the fit test) and I feel like a pathetic loser that never worked out a day in her life. 


So Sad.


The only good thing about it is that I get towear my new neon socks I bought that Phil was embarrassed about me buying. ( I wore the purple ones today!!)


Okay, i'm going to go chug like 5 gallons of water and try not to vomit.

Insane

Phil bought this yesterday...

And we start it today.

WHAT have I gotten myself into???

Goodness Gracious

Phil and I spent two evenings until closing time at the mall these past few days. We were shopping for our two engagement photo outfits, and I didn't realize how hard it was going to be. I felt kind of ridiculous spending this much time on it, but these photos are going to be around forever and I don't want to be TOO matchy and I don't want to look like we just threw ourselves together.


I think we picked out the right outfit. At least I hope.

Preparing for the unknown

What an exciting weekend! My uncle Stephen got married on Saturday!


The day started out a little on the "wet" side. It rained like cats and dogs, and the wedding was an outside wedding. We were so scared that it was going to stay that way all day, but it didn't. Things have a way of always working out, and it was a really fun day that ended with sunshine! If you ever have a chance to hang out with my family, you should! We will always promise a good time.

This weekend Phil and I will be taking our engagement photos! I'm SO nervous and excited. I can't wait to post them, well.. I can't wait to do them and see how they turn out!! AH!! Our photographer is super cool and takes really neat shots.

Time for "grandma's"

Our black lab Zepp gets so excited about going to "grandma's". I woke up this morning to his head on our bed and I told him we were "going to grandma's today". This usually gets him all excited and he whines and follows us around the house and basically freaks out.


"Grandma's house" is basically Asheboro. Zepp knows when he goes to grandma's that he gets to go "swimming" which is another word that will proceed in automatic freak out. So if you say, "Are you ready to go to grandma's to go swimming?" You better believe you'll get an ultimate Zepp freak out. Zepp also sleeps pretty late, he'll sleep until one of us wakes up, even if it's till 9:30. When we are at "grandma's", Zepp gets up at like 6 in the morning and WHINES until we get up, which is totally not like him.


So, we are off to "grandma's" today to start off our many weddings for the next couple of months. My uncle is getting married tomorrow and we absolutely love his girlfriend. She has brought us so much joy! We have so many new people joining our family in the next 8 months, hope they are prepared! I keep telling them that we were born into it, we didn't exactly have a choice but they do! Get out while you can!

Wedding Dress

I went wedding dress shopping this past Saturday and I did not find "the one". Another mistake I did was go wedding dress shopping during tax free weekend - I thought for sure that wedding dresses weren't tax free buuuttt I guess I was wrong because that place was SLAMMED. I honestly didn't even realize it until the lady was telling me what I could get for tax free, and I gave her this dumb look like - "Whatchu talkin' 'bout?" I suppose she noticed because she went, "Ya know - tax free weekend?" OHHHHHHH SNAP. No wonder there's an assload of people here!

When I came out my niece Tess goes, "Phil's not going to like that. When you walk down the aisle he's going to think to himself, "WHO AM I MARRYING?" 
I seriously about died when she said that, because she's 6 and she was totally right. 


But I think i'm heading for something like this...

Everybodys working for the weekend..

Ain't that the truth. I'm so ready for Friday, minus another 3 hours drive. I can't even tell you how many times we have to drive three hours in the next few months to go home for showers and weddings and dress shopping and cake tasting and blah blah blah. 


One of the many reasons I do enjoy going home is that my parents have a pool which means I don't have to get a pool membership if I go home to tan? 


Speaking of tanning, I've been trying to plan a trip for Phil and I to get away from all the noise and do something special for us. Nothing spectacular - but I'd like for us to just go away one weekend and visit a place we've never gone. I'm thinking Beaufort, SC. It isn't too far from our little bungalow in Greenville, SC and I hear it's beautiful. 


I'm also saving for a really nice camera. Phil and I went to Target the other day to look at some and I of course think I need the most high tech one. Phil is much better and making me realize that I honestly don't need any fancy smancy camera. At least not yet. Shall I dare say he is right?

A lil bit cray cray

Things have been a bit crazy around here. My family has LOTS of weddings in the next 8 months and two of them are in the next 2 months. I have a SUPER close family, not just our relationships but our distance. The majority of my family lives within 30 minutes of each other, and if you move away - its usually only a state away (kind of like us). 


Phil was also gone to Florida for a couple of days to hang with his family. The first 3 1/2 years of our relationship were based on seeing each other only on the weekends, so we just got to use to going 4 or 5 days without seeing one another. Now that we live together, it feels like four days without him is eternity! He came home yesterday and we met at the grocery store to pick up some things for dinner. He just kept staring at me and smiling and finally I went, "PHIL! It was only four days!" That's when his smile got even bigger and he went, "I know, but I missed you so much." It was precious.


So, things are now normal in the la casa. (As normal as it gets.)


I'm also going wedding dress shopping with my sister this weekend, i'm a bit nervous. I have NO idea what kind of dress I want or what I look. I do love lace though- i think it's beautiful.
